MOSCOW, Apr 4 (PRIME) -- Rossiya Bank may allocate 3 billion rubles in the next seven years to create a mobile operator working on 4G networks in Crimea, business daily Kommersant reported on Monday, quoting sources.
Crimean provider Miranda-Media, affiliated with state-controlled telecom and digital company Rostelecom, may act as a partner. Its unit Elemte-Invest has the necessary licenses to provide services of mobile connection.
Mobile Research Group analyst Eldar Murtazin said that the Russian operators used to shun Crimea for fear of being sanctioned, but now that the country is under sanctions, this barrier is eliminated.
The operators will start coming to Crimea already from July–December, he added.
